New CMYK DTG Printer by Resolute Ink

Announcing the launch of the R-Jet Midi CMYK T shirt printer generated a mass of enquiries for the Resolute DTG sales team. With the R-Jet Midi due to be launched at Printwear & Promotion 2012 Live, enquiries flooded in soon after the digital version of Printwear & Promotion Magazine was out. The CMYK version of the printer starts at approx. £5,950.

Jersey Shore star is sued over t-shirt deal

Serious Pimp is slapping Sitch with a lawsuit claiming the reality star made a deal to promote its t-shirts on the show, Facebook, Twitter and various other places.

According to the lawsuit, Mike Sorrentino and his brother had the right to approve the t-shirt designs, but never said yay or nay. They just disappeared, allegedly.

With the $25,000 advance he got.

I hope Serious Pimp had a well drafted contract!

Ethical weather t-shirts from the Met Office

In collaboration with an eco-clothing company, the national weather forecaster has developed a range of T-shirts emblazoned with its famous weather symbols.

Designs include their cloud symbol with a bolt of lightning signifying stormy weather, and a fashionable adaptation of a the rainy weather symbol featuring a cloud with rain drops in the shape of cats and dogs

Where t-shirts go to heaven

In a plain, red-brick warehouse in New Jersey, a lump of used clothing is zooming down a conveyor belt. A Hispanic woman examines the lump, and tosses it on another conveyor belt. Another woman picks it up and examines it again. People who work at Manhattan T-shirt boutiques had whispered to me that this place was vintage T-shirt heaven, a mecca. With the arrival of giant pandas Tian Tian (Sweetie) and Yang Guang (Sunshine), eco fashion brand Rapanui has teamed up with Edinburgh Zoo to make eco-friendly, organic bamboo t-shirts for the two newcomers.

The zoo is conscious to raise awareness about conservation and have recruited Rapanui - winners of the RSPCA Good Business Awards - to make bamboo t-shirts that are going to be sold alongside the visitor's attraction to raise money and contribute to their upkeep.
